Meet Sweet Madagascar, a coffee we've genuinely never had the chance to roast before.

This lot comes from about 40 smallholder farmers in the Itasy region of Madagascar, all working together through the Madagascar Coffee Company. These growers are working tiny plots of land, often less than an acre, tucked in between rice, beans, citrus, and avocado trees. They're paid fair, transparent prices for their cherries, and this is one of the very first specialty lots to ever leave the country.

Tasting notes: Apricot, caramel, lemongrass, raw sugar, agave

It's a sweet, mellow cup. Easy to drink, easy to love, and honestly a great "first pour" if you're into trying coffee from places you've never seen on a bag before.

Brew it: We liked this one best on a V60 with a slightly lower dose and a medium grind. Clean, bright, and lets all that sweetness come through.

This is a small lot, so once it's gone, it's gone.
