I've been roasting coffee, running pop-ups, and building Roasted by Mom Coffee for years now. And somewhere along the way, I realized I wanted to create something new. Something with a different energy.

That's where Rude Girl Coffee comes in.

So What Is It?

Rude Girl Coffee is a cafe project. Good coffee. Strong opinions. Community first.

The name isn't about being rude for the sake of it. It's about reclaiming the word. It's about women being direct. Saying no when it matters. Building something on your own terms. Trusting your gut even when people look at you sideways.

I wanted to create a brand that matched the spirit of Roasted by Mom but pushed it somewhere new. More matriarchy. More punk. A space that feels a little louder, a little more honest, and a lot more human.

Why This Exists

After years in specialty coffee, one thing keeps coming back to me: coffee shops are more than places to grab a drink. They're where people land. Where conversations happen. Where ideas start to take shape.

We opened the Roasted by Mom roastery back in 2020. The space has grown and we've built an amazing community, but there have been challenges along the way. Our roastery is located inside an industrial business park. No walking traffic. No driving visibility. Unless you found us on Google Maps or heard about us through word of mouth, you probably didn't know we existed.

So many people do find us and really enjoy the coffee. But our current space isn't built to be a full cafe. It's a roastery first. And that's the honest truth behind Rude Girl Coffee: we need to expand in order to grow.

I want to build something with more visibility, more room, and more intention. A cafe that doesn't feel overly polished or overly precious. Quality without pretense. Confidence without ego.

Rude Girl Coffee is a space where coffee is taken seriously but not solemnly. Where community is built through consistency, not buzzwords. Where people feel welcome as they are.

It's a cafe for regulars. For creatives. For people who want their coffee made well and their space to feel real.

The Coffee

Rude Girl Coffee is built on the same foundation as Roasted by Mom: thoughtful sourcing, intentional roasting, and deep respect for the craft.

The coffee will be roasted with balance in mind. Not just flavor, but how it fits into someone's day. The goal isn't to overwhelm your palate. It's to invite you in.

Expect coffees that are expressive but approachable. Comforting, with a little edge. Every cup reflects my belief that good coffee doesn't need to be intimidating to be excellent.

A Sister Project, Not a Replacement

Rude Girl Coffee is not replacing Roasted by Mom. It's a sister project.

Roasted by Mom will keep doing what it does: roasting, wholesale, direct-to-consumer. Rude Girl is the cafe-forward expression of that work. A place where those coffees can be experienced in real time, in real life.

The two brands share values, but they speak differently.

Roasted by Mom is nurturing. Rude Girl Coffee is unapologetic.

Both are necessary.

Built Out Loud

This cafe isn't being built behind closed doors. It's being built with transparency and community involvement at every step.

I believe the strongest businesses are the ones people feel connected to. Not just as customers, but as participants. This project is shaped by the people who show up, share feedback, spread the word, and believe small businesses can still be powerful.

What's Next

Rude Girl Coffee is still in its early chapters. Right now I'm focused on laying the groundwork: securing funding, finding the right space, and building something sustainable from day one.

There's no rush to open the doors before the foundation is solid. The goal is longevity, not hype.
